[AUS Embassy News] Australian Tham Luang cave rescue divers recognised with the conferral of the Most Admirable Order of the Direkgunabhorn

Australians of the Year and cave divers Dr Richard Harris and Dr Craig Challen are back in Thailand almost a year after their crucial role in the Tham Luang cave rescue.

Today their efforts were recognised with the conferral of the Most Admirable Order of the Direkgunabhorn at Thailand’s Government House.

Meeting with The Governor of Chiang Rai province, they were also thanked for their critical role in the rescue of the Wild Boars football team from Tham Luang cave. Afterward, The pair, with family and fellow cavers, went inside the cave and made it to the spot deep inside the cave where the boys were trapped.
