28 May – 2019 Australian Business in ASEAN Survey Official Launch

On Tuesday 28 May, The Australian-Thai Chamber of Commerce (AustCham Thailand), together with AustCham ASEAN, the Australian Mission to ASEAN and the Australian Embassy Bangkok, announced the official launch of the 2019 Australian Business in ASEAN Survey at the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Hotel. Starting with brief presentations from AustCham Thailand President, Mr. Wayne Williams, and AustCham ASEAN President, Mr. Brenton Mauriello, the panel followed with our special guest, the Australian Ambassador to ASEAN, H.E. Ms. Jane Duke, who discussed about the findings of the ASEAN Business Survey and its implications alongside Mr. Greg Thomas, CEO Asia of Linfox International Group.

On Friday 24th May 2019, AustCham Thailand, in collaboration with Australian Alumni, The American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM) , British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT), German-Thai Chamber of Commerce (GTCC) and the Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce (NTCC), held a Phuket Member Briefing on “Leveraging new and emerging Payment methods in your business ” at Le Méridien Phuket Beach Resort, followed by Networking event along the beach.

Thanks to our panelist, Dwight Willis; CEO of DollarSmart for taking his time to share his thought on revenue opportunities and transactional cost savings to improve profit. On Wednesday 22 May, AustCham Thailand held its 4th episode of the Digital Workshop Series on Measuring Digital Success 2019 covering a comprehension of web analytics; its implications to your business and how to best apply its methods, and marketing Campaign Measurement. 16 May- AustCham’s Business Cocktail Reception

On Thursday 16 May 2019, the Australian-Thai Chamber of Commerce, together with the Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, H.E. Mr. Allan McKinnon, hosted a Cocktail Reception to celebrate the strong bilateral business relationships between Australia and Thailand, and brought together representatives from the Australian business community in Thailand and Thai business community with Australian interests. AustCham Thailand would like to sincerely thank all those who attended, and a special thank you to H.E. Mr. Allan McKinnon for hosting the event at the Ambassador’s Residence.

On Wednesday 8 May 2019, AustCham Thailand held its celebratory networking event, ASEAN at the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit, This month we welcome the Executive Directors from the ASEAN-Australian Chambers of Commerce and Business Councils to join us, our members and guests had a great opportunity toto know more about opportunities in the other ASEAN countries. Prior to the Networking, we also organized a Member Briefing : “Meet the ASEAN Executive Directors” it is a great opportunity to meet the Executive Directors from the Australian Chambers and Business Councils in the region and learn more about business environments in their respective countries. 7- 9 May – Australian Business Chambers and Councils: ASEAN Executive Directors Workshop

On Tuesday 7 – Thursday 9 May, the Executive Directors in the ASEAN region held a workshop; having fruitful discussion and idea sharing on various the Chambers issues. Together with a lot of positive vibes and offers of support. Overall agreement was to work closer and help to strengthen each other for the benefit of our respective members.
