On Tuesday 23 July 2019, AustCham Thailand, in collaboration with our partner chambers, held Joint Business Cocktail Presentation on “Google and how they can assist Tourism businesses to grow their market share”. In this regard, we would like to thank Pulkit Lambah, Senior Account Manager, APAC Travel Google, for taking his time sharing productive information and his expertise on this issue. Afterward, there was also a networking session where attendees were allowed to have an opportunity to ask questions and talk in-depth with him. 19 July Joint Chambers Business Briefing on “Update from the EEC Office – Latest Developments and Investment in Technology”

AustCham Thailand, together with partner Chambers, held a Business Briefing and ESB Sundowners at the Avani Pattaya Resort on Friday 19th July. Thank you to Ms. Cholachit Vorawangso Virakul, Ph.D, Executive Director Attached to the Secretary General of the Eastern Economic Corridor office, for providing an insightful presentation in the EEC developments.

Key takeaways from the presentation were:

  1. Significant progress made on infrastructure development and on track to plan;
  2. Investment targets to GPD targets also on track;
  3. Clarification on BOI and EEC relationship, functions and responsibilities;
  4. Understanding on commitment to developing and support educational growth and development to support Industry 4.0 requirements;
  5. Overall vision for the Eastern Economic Corridor and the relationship to Bangkok infrastructure relief.
