19 February – AustCham’s Women in Leadership Committee: Unleash your Leadership Potential

Inspirational! This was the common theme from our Women in Leadership event “Unleash your Leadership Potential” on Wednesday 19 February, 2020. Developed by AustCham’s Women in Leadership Committee and held in partnership with the Australian Embassy Thailand and Australian Alumni, our keynote speakers – Sally O’Hara, CEO, Krungthai AXA Insurance, and Aarksara Foo, Musical Artist, Entrepreneur (both Australian Alumni) – delivered powerful speeches on reaching one’s full potential in a chosen career path. The Q&A session, led by Yanisa Ninlawong, GM of ANCA Manufacturing, reveal further insights into successful women business leaders, and the networking provided opportunities for making new connections and sharing stories. On Wednesday 19th February 2020, AustCham Thailand held a Breakfast Briefing on “PDPA : Legal Update & Implementation Guide”. 12 February – AustCham ESB Roundtable Presentation on “Labour Management in an Economic downturn”

AustCham Thailand hosted a members’ presentation and discussion on “Labour Management in an Economic Downturn” led by Khun Yanisa Ninlawong, General Manager at ANCA Manufacturing Thailand. Held at the WHA Group Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (ESIE) Office, the meeting was attended by General Managers and HR Managers, who discussed strategies and best practices for managing the labour force during an economic downturn, and shared thoughts on the outlook in 2020 for manufacturing businesses on the Eastern Seaboard.

5 February – Member Briefing: Introduction to Transfer Pricing (“TP”)

On Wednesday 5 February 2020, AustCham Thailand held its February Sundowners at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, officially welcoming the year 2020.Members and guests enjoyed their time networking whilst indulging in delicious food and beverages. Prior to the Networking, we also organized an AustCham Business Briefing: Introduction to Transfer Pricing (“TP”) and how it will affect Companies and Investors wishing to do business in Thailand. We would like to thank our speaker; Sorraya Boonsongprasert, Transfer Pricing Specialist at RSM Thailand for taking her time to share the information about Transfer Pricing (“TP”) and how companies and investor should prepare themselves.
