The Australian Embassy invited the Bendigo Kangan Institute to work with teachers from vocational colleges across Thailand, to develop a scalable model for International Skills Training (IST) programs at the Bureau of Personnel Competency Development in the Office of the Vocational Education Commission.

IST Course for Trainers and Assessors is an initiative of the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment, which aims to support the global demand for quality training and assessment capacity that is competency-based and outcomes-focussed.

On this occasion, the Thailand Professional Qualification Institute hosted a ceremony in which Ambassador McKinnon presented certificates to the graduates of the IST Assessor course.

Australia is honoured to be Thailand’s partner in cultivating skills that respond to the needs of the government and economy. We look forward to continuing to work with Thailand to develop its skilled workforce through TVET.
